The Rev. Dr. Allen Crews McSween, Jr.

McSweenRev. Dr. Allen Crews McSween, Jr. served as Senior Pastor at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC for nineteen years until his retirement in 2010, when he was named Pastor Emeritus. He is a graduate of Davidson College, Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, and Yale University Divinity School. Prior to coming to Greenville, Allen served Presbyterian churches in Lexington, Kentucky, Laurinburg, North Carolina, and Bowling Green, Kentucky. He continues to be an active member of the Board of Trustees of Presbyterian College where he is chair of the Tenure and Promotions sub-committee and vice-chair of the Educational Program Committee. Recently he published a booklet on the life of his grandfather, Dr. John McSween (president of Presbyterian College, 1928-1935) and served as the primary writer for the centennial history of FourthPresbyterian Church, From Generation to Generation.
