Jonathan was appointed Pastor of Travelers Rest United Methodist Church in June 2013 following an assignment as Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach from 2009 – 2013. He grew up in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York but moved to Columbia, South Carolina upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Geneseo in 1998. Jonathan taught seventh grade English at Crayton Middle School for three years, before being felt led into youth ministry. He served Shandon United Methodist Church, as Director of Youth and College Ministries from 2001 – 2006 where he felt God’s call into ordained ministry. He attended the Candler School of Theology at Emory University from 2006 – 2009. He and his wife, Rebecca, have a seven year old son, Edward, and a five year old daughter, Mary Elizabeth.
