Visiting Clergy
The Rev. John S. Nieman currently serves as Interim Rector at St. James Episcopal Church in Greenville South Carolina and has been an Episcopal Priest since 1987, when he was ordained in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. He has served congregations in New Jersey, Michigan, Maine, and South Carolina. He is a trained spiritual director, and for the past seven years he has focused his work on interim ministry. He enjoys music from classical to jazz to blues to classic rock, reading in the areas of philosophical theology and some fiction, and hiking. He resides in Pendleton, SC with Margaret, his wife of 39 years, and Jeffery, their cat. He and Margaret are proud parents of Joanna, who lives with her husband, Albert, in Washington, D.C.
