Visiting Clergy
The Reverend Jim Stephenson currently serves as Assistant Pastor at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church in Roebuck, South Carolina. He also leads the Chorale at Cascades Senior Living in Greenville and has led a Men’s Bible study for 25 years. He is the founding pastor and served Horizon Presbyterian church in Mauldin, South Carolina from 1998 – 2021. Prior to starting Horizon, Jim served as Minister of Music at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church in Greenville from 1983 – 1998. Jim graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and received his Master of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also has a Master of Music in vocal performance and pedagogy from Northern Illinois University.
Jim and his wife, Debra have been married 48 years and have two children, seven grandchildren and a Miniature Schnauzer. Besides serving the Lord in a pastoral role and studying theology, he enjoys genealogy, golf, and jazz piano.
