
While in Lyman, he served on the Board of Trustees of The Middle Tyger Community Center and was named Wanda Fowler Community Champion in 2019. He completed the Public Safety Chaplaincy Certification Program at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in 2020, and serves as a Chaplain for the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Department’s K9 Unit. Also while in Lyman, Brian was invited to participate in the Royce and Jane Reynolds Program in Church Leadership. He is a past member of the Conference Board of Congregation Development and Chair of the Spartanburg District Committee on Congregational Development.
He graduated from Spartanburg Methodist College and continued at USC-Spartanburg graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He then went to Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, SC and received his Master of Divinity degree.
Brian’s hobbies include spending time with wife Jennifer and daughter Bryson, and Wilson, the family’s lovable Golden Retriever.
