Rev. Dr. Robert Howell, Jr. was appointed Senior Pastor at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church in Greenville, SC in June 2016. He has served in various churches in the S.C. United Methodist Conference since 1978 and most recently served as Senior Pastor of Bethany United Methodist in Summerville, SC from 1998 until 2016. Bob graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and received his Master of Divinity degree from The Divinity School at Duke University. His Doctor of Ministry was awarded from The School of Theology at Drew University. He has also served on the board of directors for the Pee Dee Mental Health Center and as a trustee for Methodist Manor of the Pee Dee and for The Oaks; a Senior Service and Retirement Community of the United Methodist Church. Bob was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow for the Summerville Rotary Club in 2016.
