To Our Fellow Parishioners,

It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of our 2020 worship season at Faith Memorial Chapel. We had hoped to be able to open in July, but with the coronavirus continuing to spread, we believe we must be cautious with everyone’s health.

There are churches offering online services, and we encourage you to find a way to worship online or with other media. We are working to have some links on this website that could be of interest.

We hope to have our pews in place by July 5 and plan to clean the chapel regularly. If you want to go the Faith Memorial Chapel to meditate or pray, we invite you to do so. We will not know when people have been there, so assume the chapel is not disinfected. Be cautious while there and wash your hands and follow other guidelines for personal safety when you return home. Our indoor facilities will be locked so rest rooms will not be available. Also, if you go to the chapel and find others there, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

During these times, all churches have budget challenges. We hope you will be able to support your home church. At Faith Memorial Chapel, when there are no services we still have fixed costs such as insurance, maintenance, electricity, cleaning and grounds care that average about $2,200 per month. We pray that we will be able to be together in 2021 will look forward to seeing you Sunday, May 30, 2021 – save the date!

We are optimistic that we will come through this, remembering that God is with us every step of the way, every second of every day. We leave you with Paul’s words in Romans 15:13:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
